there are oceans and waves and wires and wires between us / 4th - 21st June 2014
there are oceans and waves and wires and wires between us is an exhibition by Threefold, the collaborative practice of Pirrin Franics (Hobart), Hayley Brandon (Melbourne) and myself (France). Using our geographical distance as a basis, our work investigates processes of collaboration across physical, digital and cognitive space. For SEVENTH, we performed and documented a series of event scores and created a ‘Journal Wall’ – a collage that incorporates diary entries, images and conversations that proliferated throughout our collaboration. The work re-examines the boundaries between individual and collective practice and reflects on ideas of authorship, control and originality.
